About Carlton
In brief, Carlton Outdoor Education Centre originated in the 1930's through the foresight of a group of Hartlepool benefactors, The Carlton Trust.

The trust continues to own the site and Hartlepool Borough Council is now responsible for it's overall management and operation.

What we provide

We are a main provider of residential outdoor education courses to primary schools from within the joint arrangement of subscribing authorities.

The Centre is also available to other primary schools, secondary schools and College groups.

Carlton OEC is certainly not just about schools - we're open to any organisation! Business and corporate groups, youth groups, birthday parties, clubs and societies - Carlton OEC will have something to offer you.
