Wild Country Walk

“Carlton is a great opportunity for children to experience outdoor activities and be healthy whilst experiencing nature”

Take a journey onto the higher fells and moorland landscapes of the North York Moors National Park.

Take on Carlton's own 'three peaks challenge', visit Roseberry Topping, or explore Carlton Moor and Scugdale - Venues and routes can be picked to suit group needs.

The content of the day can also be tailored to suit your groups aims and objectives - be it adventurous with bouldering and weaselling, or curriculum based looking at geology, land use and moorland management - or a mixture.

The upland environment provides a great testing ground for team skills, and numerous opportunities for personal development.

Additionally, there is plenty of scope for gaining environmental understanding from an experiential perspective. - The hill environment forms an essential part of some of our curricular support activities, including Moorlands and Mountains.

"High on the hills
the world far below
in the distance, the sea is blue.
A Patchwork of fields,
breathtaking view"
