Our Accomodation block |
Our accommodation building is divided into two 'wings' with two floors per wing, offering a total capacity of 68 beds. The building is fully double glazed and underfloor heated, making it warm and welcoming when the weather outside turns cold! |
| The building provides our visitors small group rooms (one for six, five and four per wing) with a mixture of single and bunk beds.... | ![]() |

...and there are communal washrooms providing washing, shower and toilet facilities. |
| In each wing, on each floor, there are two en-suite single rooms for group leader and visiting staff use. In total, the building provides accommodation for eight visiting staff. |

Finally, at the apex of the building, each floor has a pleasant communal lounge, offering space for up to 30, with multimedia projector, DVD player and digital tv facilities. Perfect to relax in after a hard day on the hill! |
| The Main Building | |

The main building is comprised of an office area, a housekeeping wing and a large dining room capable of seating 60 guests plus staff, with a pleasant lounge/library area attached.
The Library |
From here, a corridor leads to a hall - 'The Barn' - which is an invaluable multifunction meeting room. Used for everything from morning group gatherings to discos, to indoor archery to judo! A drying room for wet outdoor kit is attached to the barn. |

Visiting groups can also make use of our multifuction room - equiped with multimedia projection, whiteboard and flipchart. Tables and chairs can be arranged to suit, or cleared away altogether to provide an excellent group space. We also have an air hockey table, pool table, table tennis sets and a table football game for visitors to use. |
| Indoor Climbing Wall | |

Built onto the end of the accommodation is our superb purpose-built indoor climbing wall. This facility offers groups the chance to experience the sport of climbing on a variety of routes designed to present achieveable challenge. | Low and High Ropes Challenge Course | |
| Carlton's newest onsite adventure facility - The old challenge course, after many years of excellent service, has made way for a state of the art Low and High ropes course. Visitors can experience the thrills of the Leap of faith, high balance Beams, the all-aboard and Jacobs ladder (plus many more!) high in the sky... | ![]() |

...as well as having opportunities to develop teamwork skills on our Low Ropes: Take on the balance beam, hourglass crossing, hanging vines and cargo net - not to mention Carlton's legendary tunnels... |

We are also able to offer a high tower, featuring Climbing wall, Abseiling wall and the Vertical Playpen! A fantastic facility that always proves popular. See the High Challenge page for more details. |
| Grounds | |

The centre is set within it's own grounds of approximately two and a half acres which have a beautiful outlook across farmland to the nearby hills. With an additional large playing field there is plenty of space for games/activities as well as a small pond area and on-site orienteering courses. |
| Resources | |
| We hold sufficient equipment to provide every visitor with protective outdoor clothing such as Waterproof, overtrousers, rucsack and either wellingtons or hiking boots. Specialist equipment is provided for activities such as climbing, canoeing and caving. |

Within the Centre there is a good variety of resources for your use eg TV's, multimedia projectors, DVD Players, Video and digital cameras, table games, sports equipment and musical instruments. We always welcome requests and suggestions for new items! |
