Relaxation Weekend |
Stressed? Tense? Here’s your chance to unwind, with a weekend of Tai Chi, relaxation exercises and gentle activity, geared towards making you feel back to your best.
Yang style Tai Chi is suitable for people of all ages and build. When practiced correctly, it promotes both physical and mental health allowing the practitioner to develop physical and mental control.
The Tai Chi class is taught in a very relaxed and peaceful environment, allowing students time to refine their movements and postures and to feel the stress relieving benefits of practicing this graceful art.
You will also get the chance to participate in some gentle activities such as archery and the basics of climbing - Good food, beautiful countryside and relaxation are all on the menu….Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... |

16 hr First Aid Course |
This course fulfills the first aid requirements of many of the National Governing Body Qualifications such as Mountain Leader, British Canoe Union Coach and similar. It is geared towards Outdoor Instructors and other people working in an outdoor environment and is a 'hands on' course that will give the training and confidence to deal with common first aid situations in the outdoors. Residential accommodation is available; please enquire at the Centre if required. |

Climbing and Archery (8-11 year olds) |
A chance to get a taste of these two very different sports. Spend the morning learning the basics of climbing on our indoor wall, followed by a session of shooting in the afternoon. Our qualified instructors will help you push yourself to new heights – figuratively as well as literally! |

Run over three consecutive Saturdays, this course is designed for those completely new to paddle-sport to learn skills and gain confidence on a variety of local waters, leading up to a journey on moving water. Possibilities for BCU (British Canoe Union) Star test awards. |

Fancy yourself as a budding Bear Grylls or the next Ray Mears? Here’s your chance to learn and put into practice some of the skills needed for living, surviving and thriving in the countryside. Finding water, fire-lighting, shelters, what to eat (and what definitely NOT to eat!) tracking and more. |
